Aurora University concluded its highly impactful week-long orientation program for freshers with the grand Aavirbhav'24 undergraduate induction ceremony on September 14, 2024. The orientation week, which commenced on September 09, 2024, was a remarkable journey, guiding new students through a series of enlightening activities rooted in Universal Human Values (UHV). Key themes such as Self-Exploration, Aspirations & Concerns, Relationships & Society, and Self-Management were thoughtfully addressed, ensuring students gained a deeper understanding of personal growth and societal responsibilities.
Throughout the week, students engaged in hands-on sessions with the Students Web Portal, participated in book reading, role play activities, and Reflective Learning exercises, embodying the university's commitment to continuous assessment based on Reflective Teaching Methodology. Psychometric tests, mentor-mentee interactions, and expert sessions on Nutrition & Health provided invaluable insights into personal strengths and well-being, while motivational talks from distinguished experts left a lasting impact. The importance of mindfulness was highlighted through rejuvenating Yoga sessions, helping students begin their academic journey with a balanced mind and body.
Afternoons were filled with vibrant and creative activities organized by the Center for Talent Enrichment, where students showcased their talents in music, arts, dance, and sports. These sessions fostered not only fun but also community building and holistic growth. The week culminated in a series of exciting competitions, where enthusiastic participation led to students winning accolades from the judges.
The prestigious event Aavirbhav'24 marked the official commencement of the academic journey for the new batch of students. The ceremony was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Srilatha Chepure, Registrar, who welcomed distinguished guests, parents and students alike. Dr. Ramesh Babu Nimmatoori, Founder of Aurora University, delivered a profound keynote address, inspiring students to embrace excellence and innovation. Special guest, Dr. Hafeez Basha, CEO of A-HUB, shared valuable perspectives on industry advancements and the importance of continuous learning. The chief guest, Dr. M. Kumar, Director of RCUES and Senior Professor at Osmania University, spoke on the evolving role of engineering in addressing urbanization and environmental challenges. The program featured a ceremonial lamp-lighting, prize distributions for cultural and sports achievements of the students conducted during the orientation week, and the formal release of the academic calendar and almanac for the undergraduate program. The event concluded with group photographs and a formal vote of thanks.
