Professor & Dept of Physics
Dedicated and accomplished Professor in Physics, currently serving as a key faculty member in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and simultaneously holding the position of Director Admissions at Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy (Deemed-to-be University). With a profound academic background, extensive teaching and research experience, and a proven track record in various administrative roles, I have actively contributed to the academic and research landscape over the past two decades.
I earned my Ph.D. in Physics from Osmania University in 2012, solidifying my commitment to advanced research and academic pursuits. Prior to that, I completed my Master's degree in Physics at Osmania University in 2000, where I deepened my understanding of the fundamental principles in the field. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Osmania University in 1998, laying the foundation for my scientific and technological knowledge.
But it's not just about teaching - I'm deeply committed to research, especially in Atmospheric Physics. Over the years, I've published 23 papers in international and national journals, covering topics like gravity waves, turbulence, and environmental factors. It's a field I'm truly passionate about, and I'm grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the scientific community. As a co-investigator for the DST Project titled "Stratosphere-Troposphere coupling through observations of ozone and water vapour," I contributed significantly to research endeavours.
Away from the lecture halls and research labs, I wear various hats in the administrative realm. I've been involved in the governance of Aurora's Technological and Research Institute, serving on the Governing Body and coordinating various committees, from academics to admissions. My journey extends beyond the conventional, with a flair for organizing events that go beyond textbooks. From national-level webinars to workshops and cultural fests, I've had the pleasure of creating spaces for holistic learning and development. Not to mention the pride of receiving Teaching Excellence Awards in 2018 and 2019. In the midst of all this, I've managed to keep learning. I've delved into Quantum Mechanics and honed my Excel skills through Coursera, always eager to stay abreast of the latest in my field.
On a personal note, I hail from Hyderabad, India, and communication comes easy to me in English, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Born on October 12, 1977, I find joy in balancing my professional and personal life. And yes, I am a proud life member of the Indian Meteorological Society.
