On December 20, 2024, Aurora Deemed to be University celebrated Ganitsar 2024 to mark National Mathematics Day in honor of the renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The event was a grand celebration filled with engaging activities, creative learning, and a spirit of collaboration that brought the university community together.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome by the Department of Mathematics, followed by an exciting lineup of activities designed to celebrate the beauty and power of mathematics.
A highlight of the event was the Math Quiz, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The challenging questions and interactive rounds kept the participants and audience engaged, showcasing the student’s knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
Adding a creative touch to the celebration, the Math Video Presentation allowed students to demonstrate mathematical concepts and their applications through innovative and visually appealing videos. The presentations reflected the students’ talent, creativity, and passion for mathematics.
The Project Presentation segment featured thought-provoking projects by students, emphasizing the practical applications of mathematics in solving real-world problems. These presentations sparked meaningful discussions and inspired innovative ideas among the attendees.
The most captivating segment of the event was the Model Presentation, where students showcased hands-on mathematical models that beautifully demonstrated complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner. The effort and ingenuity behind each model received widespread appreciation.
