Associate, Professor, Dept. of Commerce & Management
Ravikiran Bharade is an Associate Director - Industry Relations & International Affairs and an Associate Professor at the School of Management & Commerce, at Aurora Higher Education and Research Academy, Deemed-to-be University.
Under the executive leadership of the honourable Vice-Chancellor, Ravikiran leads the university’s Directorate/ Office of Industry Relations & International Affairs. He provides strategic oversight for fostering domestic and international relationships that support and/or augment university’s objectives for Innovation, Research & Technology Transfer, Industry Advisory, Student-Industry Engagements & Placements, and Industry-Academia Engagements.
Prior to joining us, he was associated with the industry for over 18 years as a prominent IS/IT Management Leader. In conjunction with extensive exposure to global markets, his industry experience encompasses Management Consulting and Project Management Leadership in the areas of Information Systems Strategy, Architecture & Digital Solutions Design, Operations Performance Management, Business-aligned IT & Digital Transformations, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and IS/IT Governance.
He has successfully led strategic IS/IT propositions, projects and programs across the value chain of multi-business Fortune 500 companies such as Novartis, Alcon, AstraZeneca, Merck/MSD, Shire Pharma, UBS Bank, Pfizer, and Ernst & Young.
He holds an MBA from a global FT50 ranked outlet: Macquarie Business School, Sydney, Australia and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He is also UGC NET (Management) qualified.
Ravikiran has experience in Executive Coaching on the topics of Business-IT Strategy Development, IS/IT Governance & Compliance, Services Design, Strategic Change Management, and Managing Successful Project-Portfolios & Programs.
His current research interests focus on Strategy Management in conjunction with Information Systems in the fields of Pharma and Healthcare. His teaching interests are Strategic Management, Business Analytics, Managing Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Information Technology for Managers, Digital Transformation, Change Management, Effective Negotiation, Project Management, and Marketing.
