The Heritage Club at Aurora Deemed University is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural and historical heritage of our society. It provides students with opportunities to explore various aspects of heritage, including traditional arts, crafts, architecture, and customs. Through engaging activities, workshops, and events, the club fosters a deeper appreciation for our roots and encourages students to take pride in their cultural legacy. By connecting the past with the present, the Heritage Club aims to inspire a sense of responsibility towards preserving our heritage for future generations.
Aurora Deemed University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SPIC MACAY to enhance the activities of the Center for Talent Enrichment and establish a "Heritage Club." This collaboration, supported by our Registrar, Dr. Srilatha Chepure, aims to promote Indian classical music, dance, and cultural heritage among our students.
SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) is a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement dedicated to fostering an appreciation for Indian and world heritage. Through classical music, dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, lecture demonstrations, workshops, talks, and conventions, SPIC MACAY enriches the educational experience for students worldwide. These programs are organized on school and college campuses to highlight the abstract, subtle, inspiring, and mystical aspects of the world, encouraging self-reflection and inner growth.
