Aurora University signed a MoU with SPIC MACAY to promote Indian classical music, dance, and cultural heritage among our students. SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) is a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement dedicated to fostering an appreciation for Indian and world heritage. Through classical music, dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, lecture demonstrations, workshops, talks, and conventions, SPIC MACAY enriches the educational experience for students worldwide. These programs are organized on school and college campuses to highlight the abstract, subtle, inspiring, and mystical aspects of the world, encouraging self-reflection and inner growth.
Prof. K. Geetha, Chairperson SPIC MACAY, Hyderabad, Mr. Rakesh Bhatnagar, National Executive, Dr. Kalaporna, National Executive, Mr. Akhilesh Washikar, Member, and Brig. Sriram, Member SPIC MACAY attended the Event.
Both the organisations have agreed to work on the following set objectives:
a. To organise SPIC MACAY events in association with Centre for Talent Enrichment at Aurora University.
b. To establish Heritage Club at Aurora University.
