Continuous Assessment

To align with our experiential learning framework, we implement a system of continuous assessment that evaluates students' progress throughout the course rather than relying solely on traditional exams. Reflection is not only a key component of learning but also a vital part of our assessment strategy. By embedding reflection into our evaluation system, we ensure that students are continually engaged in a cycle of self-assessment and growth. This reflective assessment includes:

a. Reflective Assignments: Regular reflective assignments prompt students to consider what they have learned, how they have applied it, and what they might do differently in the future.

b. Reflective Journals: Students maintain journals where they reflect on their learning experiences, document their thoughts, and analyze their growth. These journals are periodically reviewed by instructors to gauge student progress and provide personalized feedback.

c. Portfolios: Students create portfolios that compile their work, reflections, and feedback received throughout the course. Portfolios provide a comprehensive view of a student’s progress and achievements.

d. Feedback Loops: Continuous feedback from instructors, combined with self-reflection, helps students to identify strengths and areas for improvement, fostering a growth mindset.

e. Course Projects: These projects are often collaborative and interdisciplinary, reflecting the complexity of real-world problems. Assignments and projects that require students to apply their knowledge in practical, real-world scenarios.
