Reflection is a cornerstone of our approach to teaching and learning. We believe that through reflection, students and educators alike can gain deeper insights and understanding. Faculty learn how to create assessments that encourage students to reflect on their learning experiences, articulate their thought processes, and connect new knowledge to prior understanding. Training is provided on constructive feedback that prompts students to reflect on their performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop self-awareness.
Emphasis is placed on the role of reflection in the learning process. Faculty learn how to guide students through reflective practices that help them make sense of their experiences, connect theoretical concepts to practical applications, and foster deeper understanding. Faculty are trained on implementing Kolb’s cycle in their teaching. This includes designing activities for Concrete Experience, facilitating Reflective Observation, guiding Abstract Conceptualization, and encouraging Active Experimentation.
